No. 2 tennis player Nguyen Hai Dang won 5th place in the men’s singles event at the WONDR Tennis Tournament organized by BNI Indonesia Experts in 2024, which will take place from February 15 to March 18, 2024.

The Vietnamese player will have a ticket to the next round, when he will face the winner of the match between Thailand’s Saran Jamsri and a selected qualifier.

Another Vietnamese representative, Bui Thanh Dat, begins his title challenge in the qualification round. He will face Thailand’s Varot Uraiwong in his most memorable match.

In the ladies’ group, Vu Thi Anh Thu and Le Ngoc Van will address Vietnam.

Thu, ranked 144th in the world, will play host team 122nd-ranked Bilqis Prasista in the main qualifying match.

Van will face Malaysian athlete Yi Xing Ung in the ability round.

Nearly 300 athletes will compete at the Indonesian competition, which includes five categories: individual, team and mixed.

Total cash prize of up to 100,000 USD and the chance to enter the world rankings is open to anyone.

Meanwhile in Germany, Olympian Nguyen Thuy Linh is ranked fourth in the women’s singles at the Hylo Open 2024, which will be played from October 29 to November 3.

This is her second international event this month, after participating in the 2024 VICTOR Denmark Open, where she was stopped in the next round.

Linh arrived in Saarbrucken and had two days of preparation before her most memorable match, the match she had high expectations for.

In the main event, she will face Rachael Darragh from Ireland.

Linh, ranked 32nd in the world, is expected to join Darragh, who is ranked much lower at 96.

Assuming she wins, her next match will be against either No. 65 Amalie Schulz of Denmark or No. 75 Keisha Fatimah Azzahra of Azerbaijan.

Linh’s first big test will be in the quarter-finals, where she could face Indian Malvika Bansod, who is ranked sixth in the competition and is world number 35.

Linh easily defeated Bansod 21-13, 21-12 at the VICTOR Denmark Open held in the second cycle fourteen days earlier.

At first, Vietnamese champion Le Duc Phat wanted to participate in the men’s singles event, but he withdrew immediately due to personal reasons.

The Hylo Open, one of World Visit’s annual events, features a total prize pool of $210,000 and world leadership for the winning players.
