Indian football team will play Vietnam in an easy match
The Indian men’s football team will face Vietnam in a bizarre friendly on October 12 after Lebanon withdrew from the tri-nation competition, at the Thien Truong Stadium in Nam Dinh, Vietnam, with points counted according to the FIFA Rankings.
According to the first match schedule, India will face Vietnam on October 9 and Lebanon on October 12. After Lebanon withdrew, the All India Football Federation requested the Vietnam Football Federation to postpone the Vietnam-India match to October 12 and was accepted by the VFF.
India will gather in Kolkata on October 5 and have a training session on October 6. Manolo Márquez and his team will arrive in Vietnam on October 7 for preparation.

This will be the second time the senior national football team of India will play under the guidance of Manolo Márquez, who was named as Igor Stimac’s successor on July 20, 2024. The Intercontinental Cup was the 56-year-old Marquex’s most memorable assignment as India coach.
